2009 Activities:
- Visits to female prisons were consolidated with teachings and interactive study classes from a Christian study book. For each visit we took the usual toiletries, books, bibles and food at festive periods.
- Weekly visits to the Girls’ Rehab home carried out weekly in a similar manner
- Rental bursary for selected widows on homes and re-finance of sole trading businesses Vocational training especially for widows and their children commenced
- Financial assistance for selected self sustainable start-ups and small scale businesses
- Trained one of the youths, the son of a widow in the manufacture of liquid soap, insecticide, and petroleum jelly. He has produced several batches of liquid soap with a hope of becoming self-sufficient soon
- Two female prison inmates who have been released have joined the Roses group and are currently undergoing continued rehabilitation
